Advert We are looking for a senior manager with significant experience of working in Local Authorities or related organisations and who is an accomplished leader and manager of staff. You will manage a locality team responsible for the delivery of Social Work services to vulnerable children and families. Your main responsibilities will be to manage a number of Senior Social Workers and their sub teams and chair a range of relevant meetings including Child Protection Case Conferences.

You must possess knowledge of relevant legislation and policy in relation to children, and in particular be experienced in managing child protection cases and children who require to be accommodated. It is essential that you have previous experience of working and managing teams in Children’s Services Social Work settings. You will have highly developed written and verbal communication skills, proven leadership skills and the ability to manage budgets, plan strategically, motivate staff, delegate, manage change and conflict and communicate effectively with a range of partners. You will have the vision and leadership abilities to not only manage this locality team this but also to participate in the improvement agenda for Children’s Services generally in Renfrewshire. You will be a member of the Children’s Services Senior Leadership Team. It is essential that you have an appropriate professional qualification in Social Work e.g. CQSW, Diploma in Social Work and be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council.
