Social Work Resources
Location: Rutherglen Area Office, 380 King Street, Rutherglen
Hours: 17 per week (work pattern tbc)
Child and Family Services are looking to recruit motivated and committed Family Support Workers to work with Children and Families in the community who are receiving a social work service.
Family Support Workers will be working under the support and guidance of Social Workers and Team Leaders in the local offices to an agreed Child’s Plan. The post will entail working in partnership with different agencies i.e. education, health etc. to ensure the best outcomes for children and families. Assessment, risk management, intervention and review will be an integral part of the post as will the ability to prioritise work, ensure up to date recording and work in accordance with South Lanarkshire Council’s policies and procedures.
Employment History/Foreign Police Check
Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad.
