The possible recruit must have:

  • Minimum of 5 years technical hands on desktop and server support experience for 1st to 3rd line support
  • Azure experience
  • Thorough understanding of networking fundamentals & technologies including:LAN
    • WAN
    • DNS
    • DHCP etc
  • MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) & good understanding of Microsoft technology & software stack, such as:IIS
  • SQL
  • Exchange
  • Office 365
  • Azure etc.
  • Ability to provide clear documentation
  • Ability to work both under clear direction but also autonomously
  • Good methodical and progressive fault identification skills for both software & hardware
  • Ability to join out of hours on call rota
  • Ability to communicate clearly in all forms and at all levels
  • Ability to act as a deputy for the manager from time to time when the line manager is not available
  • Good customer facing skills, and customer centric approach
  • Good time management / multi tasking / multi project / team skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Committed to continuous improvement
  • Awareness of Microsoft best practices


Desirable would also be:

  • ITIL Foundation v3 certification
  • CRM Dynamics Specialist
  • Ability to query SQL server databases
  • Health sector experience
  • Data protection knowledge & information governance
  • Training and presentation skills
