This is a Senior Practitioner role in the supervision, community integration and risk management of service users who are subject to statutory orders. The Criminal Justice Social Work service works with partner agencies; Police Scotland, Housing Services, Services supporting people with substance use and Scottish Prison Service to ensure that resources are targeted to those who pose the greatest risk.
It involves:Preparation of Criminal Justice Social Work Reports and Reports for the Parole Board Supervision of service users on statutory orders Risk Assessments in line with accredited tools and the RMA guidance Representing Fife CJSW service at multi-agency meetings Providing professional supervision to Social Work Assistants Providing professional support to Social Work staff and undertaking a mentoring role Being involved in the delivery of Groupwork programmes Chairing statutory order reviews in line with service policy Liaison with partner agencies The Individual
The individual will have extensive skills and experience in:Supporting service users in the community Multi-agency liaison in a case management context The understanding and implementation of the principles of risk assessment and risk management Report writing Child and Adult Protection policies and procedures Inputting to and interrogating various IT systems Communication skills and be able to transfer these to different areas of the role Maintaining a professional relationship with service users Adaptability in a professional work setting Crisis intervention Team working Reflective Practice Effectively managing their workload
Before confirming your appointment to the post, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland.
If you are invited to interview those who are not currently in a Senior Practitioner Post are required to submit a 750 work case study. Interviewees are required to complete a piece of work given on the day and a 10 minute presentation.
