As the Engineering Lead you will be responsible for delivering consistent engineering support across all disciplines to the assets, this role has accountability for all operations support engineering disciplines including; Rotating equipment; Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems, Reliability Engineering etc.
You will provide engineering support to asset execution engineers, and assurance of the delivery of projects and lead the delivery of engineering activities, developing resource and capability plans in support of business requirements. To set and review equipment maintenance strategies is key as you collaborate closely with the technical function.
You will be accountable for the delivery and quality of all engineering work (internal & external) for operated assets and projects as well as engineering brownfields capex budget and holding asset accountability for ensuring project delivery is as expected against the sanctioned business case. Also ensuring brownfields work plans are integrated into the asset plans and supported by the asset operations teams.
To be accountable for engineering Management of Change (MOC’s) and resulting modifications; ‘customer’ for engineering Brownfield modifications projects and responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, to cost, and meet the asset requirements is key as you provide clear direction and assurance to compliance with statutory legislation in respect of Major Accident Hazard management. As you manage the engineering resource and manage service provision to deliver business plans you will be the custodian of discipline engineering standards and asset engineering documentation, assuring their compliance.
You will lead the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process for the asset, recommending and delivering plant reliability improvement initiatives also executing reliability studies on behalf of the asset.
To manage engineering support contracts, ensuring performance standards are accurate and adhered to via the Inspection, Test and Maintenance programme and be accountable for assuring regulatory compliance, adhering to standards and implementing industry best practice are all required.
You will have an Engineering degree and significant experience in client/operator roles in the management of contractors with active involvement in the application of quality assurance and quality control: including reviewing calculations, philosophies and designs. Experience and involvement of reviews and in particular risk and hazard assessment activities with the ability to resolve complex problems in a range of contexts from conceptual design to operational facilities is required.
You will need to understand the overall business strategy, and have experience of up-skilling teams to deliver high standards.
