Two full-time Senior Business Support Assistant opportunities have arisen within Council Resources. The successful candidates will undertake tasks relating to business support and specifically, Education. We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced administrators, assisting with an interesting and varied range of duties.
Good communication and numeracy skills are required and you should be able to establish good working relationships with all levels of staff and have proven organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise your workload and use your initiative. You will have a commitment to delivering a high quality of customer service.
Position 1: will initially provide administrative support for the pupil placement process, Support from the Start, Family Information Service and administrative tasks associated with Freedom of Information requests for Education.
Position 2: will initially provide administrative support to the Probationer Teacher Support Programme, Student Placements within schools and administrative support to the Principal Officer responsible for Parent Councils.
A high level of flexibility is required in both roles, as duties may change due to the needs of the teams.Job Details

Educated to ‘Higher’ level, NC or SVQ level 2 in English and/or able to demonstrate

The preferred candidate will be subject to a Basic Disclosure provided by Disclosure Scotland prior to a formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
