Experienced Pensions & Benefits Administrators (6 month FTC) with HR Solutions:
We are seeking individuals with a strong DC administration background and a minimum of 2 years' experience within Defined Contribution (DC) pension administration to take up two fixed-term opportunities within our Edinburgh office.
The ideal candidates will be already working as Pensions Administrators within the Pension's industry (preferably for a Third Party Administrator or an in-house provider) and will work on a variety of tasks such as regular DC processing work, calculations and assisting with additional projects.
Our Shared Service Centre is responsible for delivering full Pension & Benefits administration services for a large defined contribution, occupation pension plan. Working as part of the Pension & Benefits Administration Team, you will have daily interaction with the client, its employees and external vendors. Responsibilities will be varied and involve working within agreed timescales and service level agreements.
What you will do:
Carry out all aspects of pension administration, such as maintaining accurate records for the members in the schemes, calculating benefits, providing information to scheme members and assisting with ongoing large scale project work. This includes a GMP reconciliation and a Change to Default Fund exercise.
Contribute to a process of continual service improvement; generating efficiencies for Capita and better working practices for client and pension scheme members.
Deliver upon client SLA's and provide a first class Pension & Benefits Administration service and contribute to the client dedicated helpline and mailbox
Participate in regular meetings and daily interaction with the Team Leader and other members of the team
Escalate client/member queries to Team Leader, where required, ensuring a timely investigation and response are provided.
Assist Team Leader, as and when directed, with tracking of trends in volumes and enquiry types.
Your skills & experience will include:
Detailed knowledge of Defined Contribution Occupational Pension Schemes.
Minimum of 2 years with a real DC (Occupational Schemes) focus.
Knowledge of the flexibilities introduced following the 2015 pension freedoms
Good working knowledge of using MS Word and Excel
Proven track record of providing quality customer service in a similar environment
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and deal with conflicting priorities
**Knowledge of Flex Benefits administration/ Defined Benefit Occupational Pension Schemes would be advantageous, although not essential**
