The Department of Engineering brings together an exciting blend of skills and expertise in the development and delivery of industrially relevant undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of study and establishing an excellent track record in sustaining and growing research and knowledge transfer links with Industry. The Department is working towards bringing expertise in industrial digitalisation of manufacturing process, industrial operations management, quality assurance and predictive maintenance technologies. The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant team contributing to all levels of teaching and research within the subject area.
The main purpose of this role is to develop and deliver a high quality education and student experience and to contribute to the sustainability and enhancement of knowledge transfer activities of the Department.
Applicants should have a postgraduate degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent and have completed a doctorate or nearing completion of a doctorate in a relevant subject area. Applicant should have prior academic experience in teaching and learning, and substantial research experience in relevant subject area. Experience of applied research or systems development, and a strong personal desire and commitment to engage in innovative teaching and delivering research, grant funding application and/or consultancy/CPD services are essential.
