Job Description

Working as part of the Early Learning and Childcare team within our school nurseries, you will contribute to the development and wellbeing of young children. Assisting the Early Years Team, you will have a positive and nurturing approach and the enthusiasm and work toward an SCQF Level 7 in Social Services (Children and Young People) over 23 months.

This is a fixed term post for 23 months. For internal applicants this will be a secondment therefore you must have approval from your line manager before applying for this role. If you do not receive approval but still wish to apply, it will be on a fixed term basis. (Please refer to the secondment procedure).

This is a Children’s Service Network (CSN) post. Initially you will be based in the location advertised, but you may be required to work elsewhere within the Huntly CSN.

This post is regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
