An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Senior Carer in the Falkirk/Hallglen area working within the Home Care Service.
The Home Care Service provides support to vulnerable service users. As a Senior Carer you will be required to carry out personal care tasks on a 'one-to-one' basis with people who have a wide range of caring needs in their own homes, work place observations of your team ensuring a high quality service is being provided, which meets the National Care Standards.
Experience of working in a care setting is essential for this position of Senior Carer. We are looking for individuals with strong interpersonal skills, a caring personality and someone who is reliable and can be relied upon to support the service user in their home. We are looking for someone that will always work in the best interests of the service user.
You must be confident in using Microsoft office applications and have an eye for attention to detail.
Hours for this role are 37 per week on a 10 over 14 working pattern, involving working every second weekend with an availability of 7am-6pm.
All posts involve lone working.
We require you to be mobile across the Falkirk Council area. You will be paid to travel between service users and, if you have a car, you will be paid mileage at the HMRC rate of 45 pence per mile.
This post requires you to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council. This will require to you to hold the relevant qualification or be willing to work towards the SVQ Award that is linked to the post of Senior Carer with Falkirk Council Home Care Service.
