Job Description

Natural Environment Officer (Food Growing) required to provide additional support for growing spaces and allotments to address waiting lists and support community empowerment. This challenging post will be responsible for the provision of an efficient and effective growing spaces service to the Council. The successful applicant will be able to undertake research into growing issues, produce quality reports and presentations, and will also be able to engage with growers, at a variety of forums. You must have previous relevant community greenspace project experience together with knowledge of a range of community engagement principles and techniques. The role will involve a level of evening and weekend working, for which time in lieu will be provided in line with the Conditions of Service. Good organisational, project management, presentation, communication, IT skills and a current driving licence are essential.
