Location: Newberry Rooney Centre, 100 New Park Street, Hamilton
 
Hours: 37 per week, shift working in accordance with a roster including evenings and weekends
Permanent
The successful applicant will have experience in caring for older people, preferably within a home/day care or residential setting and be familiar with all aspects of personal care.

You will require to be flexible, willing to undertake delegated tasks as part of a care staff team and be committed to promoting service users independence, rights choice and individuality.

As an employer, South Lanarkshire Council offer excellent conditions of service along with good training opportunities to enable you to secure a qualification in care.

Shift and weekend working is essential.

Ideally the successful candidate will hold an SVQ in Social Care Level 2 or 3 or an HNC in Social Care or be willing to work towards gaining these qualifications.

 

 

 

Requirements

Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad.

Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by South Lanarkshire Council.
