Stromness Swimming Pool
35 hours per week
Temporary up to 31 March 2019
£19,177 - £19,899 (including shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance)
A lifeguard is required to effectively carry out the operational procedures of the pool, fitness and squash court facilities and assist the management team. You will be expected to work shifts in covering school and public sessions throughout the opening hours.
Although this is a 35 hours post, consideration will also be given to applicants wishing to apply on a part-time basis.
A current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification will be essential while other relevant coaching qualifications would be an advantage.
You will be carrying out a swimming teacher/coaching role and training is available. You should be able to work as part of a team, providing an excellent standard of cleanliness and customer care.
A current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is essential. A HSE First Aid qualification and knowledge of pool water treatment and operations would be an advantage.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
