Working within the Bellshill and Coatbridge Community Learning & Development teams, you will be responsible for delivering Adult Literacy and Numeracy services in line with key strategic and local priorities.
Along with colleagues, you will plan and deliver appropriate sessions to enable learners to develop their core skills, through one-to-one support and group work, whilst supporting the CLD locality team in the delivery of the core functions of Community Learning and Development.
There will be a particular emphasis on working with learners who face multiple barriers within their learning, life and work, in line with key strategies and policies.
The successful candidate will have experience of planning and delivering Adult Literacy and Numeracy programmes, collaborative working with a variety of agencies and using quality assurance systems. Experience of ESOL and SQA programmes is also desirable.
An enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will have knowledge of current national and local developments in working with adult learners, as well as good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
You must have a CLD Standards Council approved professional qualification in Community Learning & Development, e.g. BA Hons, PGC, PGD, MA in Community Education, Community Development, Community Learning & Development, Youth Work or CLDSC recognised equivalent
