Location: Various Locations in Aberdeen

Part time: 2 x 18.75 Hours per Week, Cults School

2 x 26.25 Hours per Weeks, Cults School

3 x 19.5 Hours per Week, Kirkhill School

1 x 20 Hours per Week, Ferryhill School

Job Purpose:
To work as a member of a team to create a safe, happy caring environment appropriate to the social, emotional, intellectual, physical and cultural needs of the children and young people attending the service.

Requirements

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
SVQ Level 2 in CCLD, Playwork or SSCYP (SCQF Level 6)

Experience of direct work with children, young people and families
Ability to evidence an awareness of a child's learning and developmental needs
Ability to identify needs of individual children and parents and put in place strategies to address these

Responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to:
Assist in the day to day running of an early learning and childcare or out of school care setting that have a learning environment in which children are encouraged and supported to be safe, healthy, achieving, nurtured, active respected responsible and included
Work as a member of the team to plan, implement and evaluate children's learning
Ensure the care, health and safety needs of the children are met at all times
Observe and interact with children in order to support their learning and contribute to record keeping and reporting of children’s progress
Collaborate with others including parents and other professionals involved in children's learning and development and ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity are maintained at all times
