Role Responsibilities:

The Management Accountant will be a part of a small team based in Fort William, reporting into the Farming Controller.

The main purpose of the role is to analyse and report on key financial data ensuring that our senior and farm managers receive timely, accurate and relevant information.

This role requires a highly motivated and dynamic individual who is not afraid to work flexibly to meet the demands of the job. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on team player with the ability to persuade and influence farm managers whilst remaining confident in all aspects of finance. 

Candidates should be ACCA qualified, or working towards this, with previous commercial experience.

Specific responsibilities include:

To produce timely and reliable management information reports on a monthly basis.
To investigate variances against budgets and provide analysis of differences on a monthly basis.
To assist Senior Managers and Farm Managers in the control of cost and expense against previously agreed budgets.
To assist Senior and Farms Managers in the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow forecasts. To ensure timely provision of management information.
To assist the Senior and Farms Managers in the preparation of the relevant information for Annual Estimates and LTP’s.
To attend site meetings and ensure appropriate commercial input.
To attend site meetings and ensure financial guidance to farm managers.
To assist with the submission of relevant information to Head Office in Rosyth according to the accounting timetable.
To assist the Farming Controller with the preparation of results, and ad hoc tasks.
