What will I be doing?

As Front of House Manager at Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian, you will be responsible for overseeing your departments to deliver exceptional Guest and Team Member experiences in accordance with True Waldorf Service Standards.

  • You will be the face of Front of House, communicating with the department leaders, guests & team, ensuring a sleek and memorable experience

  • Consistently demonstrating, and presenting as an ambassador for True Waldorf Service

  • Evaluate levels of Guest satisfaction and monitor trends, with a focus on continuous improvement

  • Ensure regular and VIP Guests are recognised and that the Front Office department operates with a sales attitude and promotes the company loyalty scheme, Hilton Honors

  • Maximise room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities

  • Set departmental objectives, schedules, budgets, policies, and procedures

  • Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front of House Team Members

  • Ensure Team Members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, as well as knowledge of the City of Edinburgh & hotel history

  • Recruit, manage, & oversee learning and development of the team

  • Previous,senior experience in Front Office/Guest Relations at FOH Manager level in 5star or equivalent luxury environment

  • Anatural ability to present as the face of the arrival experience and have tohave a proactive disposition to create loyalty with our guests on a personallevel

  • Experiencewith booking systems and have a clear, systematic approach to work

  • Ableto lead a team in continuing their success and to be a great boss

  • Thesuccessful candidate will be overseeing three departments: personal concierge/guestrelations, reception and concierge so must have evidential experience inmanaging at least two of these departments previously

  • Financialacumen will be required in order to participate & engage in strategy for theproperty with the other Departmental Managers

  • High levelof commercial awareness and sales capabilities

  • Experienceof managing people and developing people

  • Accountableand resilient

  • Commitmentto delivering an exceptional level of service

  • Ability towork under pressure

  • Impeccablegrooming standards

It would beadvantageous in this position for you to have fluency in at least one otherlanguage, other than English.
