Senior Manager - Private Client Advisory

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Private Client Advisory team in Scotland. You will be expected to participate in winning new clients and bringing new offerings to the market helping to develop new areas and ensuring a good flow of work to the group as a whole.

You will have responsibility for a portfolio of high net worth clients working with the assistance of wider teams. These clients will include significantly wealthy individuals including entrepreneurs, company directors, shareholders of owner-managed businesses and people with inherited wealth.

Roles and Responsibilities

- You will be required to build and expand your network to generate more opportunities for Private Client work
- Manage the local team and be at the forefront of embedding an efficient process and delivering a high quality and efficient product
- You would be expected to delegate effectively, review work and have the ability to encourage and foster the development of team members
- Identify potential risks; deliver innovative and competitive solutions
- Recognise and develop opportunities to further grow the national business
- Advise clients regarding any planning opportunities (CGT, IT, IHT)
- Confirming tax efficiency of investment
- Manage your work in progress and bill in a timely manner

The Person

Qualifications and Skills

- University degree (preferably 2:1 or above)
- ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent with relevant personal tax knowledge/experience

Experience and Background

- Previous experience of working in a management position
- Excellent technical specialist knowledge and expertise on all matters relating to private client advisory matters including partnerships, private equity, international tax planning and non domicile individuals.
- Proven track record of building long term client relationships with high ranking C suite senior executives and high net worth individuals which often generate advisory opportunities
- Market facing leadership skills
- A passion for delivering exceptional service achieved by strength and depth of client relationships and a strong belief in value delivered

- A strong team ethic and the ability to grow resources and personally invest both within your immediate peer group but also more widely across the firm
- Be a self-starter who sees opportunities in the market to evolve the business strategy in line with the changing needs of our client base


£35,594 to £40,712 per annum, G14, Aberdeen
