Offer a high level of expertise and input to those young children and their families who face the greatest disadvantages and where additional support will assist in closing the attainment gap.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
The Scottish Government believes that children must have access to highly qualified staff in Early Learning and Childcare. To support this, they are funding additional graduates.
With an excellent working knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence and qualified to SCQF level 8 or 9 / SVQ 4 in relevant discipline, you will provide additional support for those children who need it most in order to close the attainment gap. You will be highly organized with good planning skills and the ability to positively influence people. This is an exciting opportunity to support collegiate practice and teamwork across the nursery.

This post is regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
