Parkdale Care Home is a small residential home in the heart of Auchterarder, offering support to older people who require permanent placements, respite or day care facilities.As a Clerical Assistant at Parkdale, you will provide an invaluable administrative service to the Co-ordinator and senior staff, the residents and other service users and their carers. Your role will require you to be the first point of contact when dealing with enquiries from all service users, their families, other professionals and members of the public. You will be a welcoming voice and provide help and assistance to those who need it, when they need it. The role will also involve providing statistical information, having responsibility for petty cash and resident’s banking needs, ensuring that invoices are paid or issued whenever required. This is a very varied role and no two days will be the same. You will have the opportunity to participate in on the job training and your continuous development will be encouraged and supported throughout your career with Perth & Kinross Council.

To be successful in this role, you will have up to date ICT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. The ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision is essential, as is a flexible approach to work and proven communication skills. You will be an effective communicator, have a polite manner with the ability to engage with visitors and callers, obtaining all relevant information to ensure the correct information is provided or relayed.
