We are seeking a dynamic and experienced team player to fill the role of Advanced Nurse – Vulnerable Groups for the Oba, Lon & Islands area of Argyll & Bute.

The Advanced Nurse – Vulnerable Groups provides specialist advice and support in relation to assessing, evaluating and meeting the health needs of Homeless people, Gypsy/Travellers, Looked After Children (LAC) and supporting Child Protection.

It is a requirement of the post to have adequate active experience of Health Visiting or Midwifery including in addition Child Protection or Looked After Children's nursing experience.

The role involves providing specialist advice, support and supervision for health and social care staff and co-ordinating the health needs of vulnerable groups of children and adults and to take a strategic role (as required) in developing services, policies and procedures. The post holder will contribute to the quality and performance management agendas within the HSCP.

You should possess evidence of continuing professional development, good communication and IT skills.

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
