The Team

KPMG LLP's national restructuring practice has c480 staff in 25 offices around the UK.
Over 75 of those work across the three Scottish offices.

We provide a number of service lines including:

- Restructuring advice to companies who are under performing or experiencing liquidity problems
- Recovery advice and assistance to insolvent companies, their creditors and other stakeholders
- Turnaround support (such as cash management, cost reduction and working capital improvement)
- Pensions advisory
- Corporate simplification
- Personal debt solutions
The work extends to the full spectrum of sectors and business sizes from individuals, sole traders and partnerships, to small and medium sized entities through to large multinationals, all typically experiencing some form of stress or distress.

You will be based either in our Glasgow or Edinburgh office but will require to spend time in all three Scottish offices


- Conflict Checks – you will follow internal procedures, using systems such as SAP and Microsoft Dynamics to confirm whether we can work with prospective clients and engage with colleagues to issue “consent to act” paperwork timeously
- CRM – you will maintain our client relations management system, ensuring compliance with GDPR
- Event support – you will provide administrative and logistical support for business development events with clients and key stakeholders
- Statistics – you will compile monthly insolvency appointment statistics and detailed quarterly reporting
- Phone calls – you will answer calls from our business rescue website and direct queries to the appropriate person. You will also have regular dialogue with clients and intermediaries
- Research – you will conduct ad hoc research into companies, liaising with our National Restructuring resource to obtain relevant company information for targeting purpose

The Person:

- Be able to produce high quality, detailed and accurate work and reports
- Be willing to participate in out of hours business development
- Be mobile, flexible and willing to work on remits across Scotland and, from time to time, in other parts of the UK
- Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Have a good knowledge of CRM systems
- Be aware of GDPR requirements and how to comply
- Have a good knowledge of social media (LinkedIn)
