As a Mechanical Advisor you will support the Hard FM (Facilities Management) Manager in the delivery of the Hard FM Service. In this operational role, you will deliver a highly effective and efficient Mechanical Services works advice, audit, inspection and survey service to a range of internal and external customers.
The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
Comprehensive and demonstrable experience in a Mechanical Services related field; or experience and a qualification in Mechanical Services, such as City & Guilds, HNC, HND (or equivalent qualification).
The post holder will be expected to:
Travel between a number of locations, both within and out with Aberdeen City, on a regular basis by means of private car or public transport during both working and non-contracted hours.
Undertake external inspections and works in all weathers.
Work out with normal working hours where required.
To be able to work flexibly throughout the city with no fixed office location.
The post holder is expected to demonstrate:
An up-to-date awareness of the latest technical developments and professional standards (gained through written and electronic sources).
A sound understanding of Building Control Regulations.
An ability to ensure that statutory works programmes are complied with (i.e. Mechanical Services Audit programme).
Ability to contribute effectively in meetings.
Dealing with a wide range of individuals (i.e. clients, customers; contractors; various property professionals).
Competent in the use of all standard office type software - Word, Excel, Outlook, job-related databases/management systems (for data input, report writing etc).
Understanding of Fire Risk audits requirements.
Sound knowledge and understanding on various BEM (Building Energy Management) systems.
