Colonsay Resource Centre, Perth
You will be a qualified social worker preferably working in a Children & Families team. You will have responsibility for statutory social work cases and will carry your own caseload.
The team covers child & family social work within Perth City and extends to Scone, Balbeggie, Collace, Wolfhill and Guildtown.
The post offers the opportunity to undertake child protection and risk assessment work, with children who are looked after at home, who are accommodated, parenting and family work, assessment and care-planning, and working within the Children's Hearing system. In line with the principles of 'Getting it Right for every Child' , inter-agency working within local networks is an uppermost aspect of the work; there are a number of resources and services to draw upon in supporting local children and young people. The client group is 0 - 17 years approximately.
