Do you like working with children and want to make a difference?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Play Assistant to work at Scone Kids Club, term-time, after school. This is a 12 hour contract working between the hours of 2.30pm - 6.00pm, over 5 days.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to step into the childcare profession, gain experience and qualifications.
No entry qualifications are required , however you will be required and supported to work towards one of the qualifications below:
- NC Early Education and Childcare
- SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Social Services (Children & Young People)
- HNC Early Education and Childcare.
As a Play Assistant you will assist in the provision of high quality play experiences within the Kids Club. Assist in providing high quality care and a comprehensive range of appropriate stimulating and creative activities, for example arts and crafts, storytelling, den building, physical play appropriate to the needs and interests of the children in the service, aged from primary 1 - 14 years in Kids Club.
You would be expected to work within a team contributing to children's learning and development within a safe and inclusive environment out with school hours in a registered childcare service.
You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for Day Care of Children within 6 months of commencing employment and you will be responsible for maintaining annual membership.
