DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE
35 hours per week
£18,536 - £19,522 (including Distant Islands Allowance)
We require a full-time Administration Assistant to join an established administrative team which provides all aspects of administrative support to Development and Infrastructure.
Previous experience in general administrative procedures, Microsoft Office Word and Excel is essential. Duties will include processing timesheets which will include dealing with sickness records and holiday records, processing of requisitions, processing job cards and assisting with the costing process, processing and distribution of incoming mail and outgoing correspondence, maintenance of filing system, maintenance of training records and organising training, answering calls from the public, and all other admin requirements on a day-to-day basis within this varied, but demanding environment.
You will have a good understanding of office systems and procedures. You must be highly motivated and have a flexible and positive approach to all aspects of work. Your communication and organisational skills must be of the highest standard as you will be required to work on your own initiative and as part of a team liaising with the public and the wider service.
Good attention to detail and accuracy in both words and figures will also be some of your main strengths.
Candidates should hold a minimum of an SVQ2 or equivalent in administration or where essential qualification is not held a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in an administrative role is required.
