Business Manager (PKC05180)
£36,865 - £40,300
Bertha Park High School, Perth & Fairview School, Perth (for an interim period)
A once-in-a-career opportunity has arrived: Bertha Park High School is an entirely new Secondary School to Perth & Kinross and Scotland. More than just a building, this is a new school community and we need the right people to bring it to life. We have just completed recruitment of teaching staff and now need our Business Manager to complete our bespoke team.
The role requires a skilled, dedicated and solution-focused individual to support the operational running of the school; someone who can call upon experience yet have the vision to see new ways of working and innovative solutions.
We need only the very best staff in every role in our school: dynamic, enthusiastic, talented people, ready to embrace new challenges using the latest in digital technology. We need someone flexible, as creating an entirely new learning facility will provide its challenges, some anticipated, others not. Outstanding communication skills is a must, as the adapting to different audiences will require someone with highly-developed interpersonal dexterity.
The Business Manager will join a Senior Leadership Team of just two others: Head Teacher and Depute Head Teacher. As the school grows year-on-year, the number of Depute Head Teachers will rise accordingly. Whilst the school will eventually house 1,100 pupils, it will open in August 2019 with only 200 S1 and S2 learners.
Bertha Park High School will fully embrace digital learning and develop digital creativity; the successful candidate should be comfortable in digital working across all areas of their role.
In the first few years, we will be a school of modest staff numbers, so everyone on the team will need to work collegiately and be ready to do whatever it takes to provide the experiences our young people deserve. This post will doubtlessly be a challenging task, but for the right person it is a rare opportunity to lead on something exciting and completely unique. If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you.
For further information, please contact the Head Teacher, Mr Stuart Clyde on 01738 475465.
When completing your application for this post, please ensure you provide contact details (preferably e-mail addresses) for two referees. One should be your current or most recent employer.
Please APPLY ONLINE. Online facilities are available at all public libraries in Perth and Kinross. If you have a disability and require reasonable adjustments, please call 01738 475555 to discuss.
As part of our safer recruitment measures, Perth & Kinross Council carries out rigorous checks on the right to work in the UK, qualifications, employment history, including references, and fitness to undertake the post.
Some jobs may have been traditionally carried out predominately by one gender, but we would encourage you to apply if you meet the requirements, irrespective of your gender.
