Job Description

Financial Assessment Officer, Perth PKC05262
£21,079 - £23,707
Pullar House, 35 Kinnoull Street, Perth PH1 5GD

Are you a people person? Are you able to simplify difficult concepts for people so that they can understand them? If so you could be what we’re looking for!

We have a vacancy for a Financial Assessment Officer, within the Assessment & Charging Team. This post works with some of our most vulnerable citizens; helping them to maximise their income, ensuring they are being charged correctly for any social care and support they are receiving and supporting them and their families through the complexities of paying for their care.

Predominantly you will be undertaking telephone assessments and booking appointments but you will also have the opportunity to go out and meet people in their own homes, so you will need to have a full current driving licence.

You will enjoy working in a fast paced environment, have a person centred approach, enjoy a challenge and importantly, have a proactive ‘up and at ‘em’ attitude.

Further information on what we do can be found at www.pkc.gov.uk/carecharges or by calling to have a chat with either Fiona or Pam on 01738 476991.

When completing your application for this post, please ensure that you provide contact details (including e-mail addresses) for two referees. One should be your current or most recent employer.

Please APPLY ONLINE. Facilities are available at all public libraries in Perth and Kinross. If you have a disability and require reasonable adjustments, please call 01738 475555 to discuss.

As part of our safer recruitment measures, Perth and Kinross Council carries out rigorous checks on the right to work in the United Kingdom - qualifications, employment history (including references) and fitness to undertake the post.

Some jobs may have been traditionally carried out predominately by one gender, but we would encourage you to apply if you meet the requirements, irrespective of your gender.

Please note: As part of the application process, when we receive your submitted application, you will be sent a job match questionnaire following the closure of the post. The questionnaire will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Please complete and submit this questionnaire within 48hrs of receiving it.
