Senior Pensions Administrator - Third Party Administration (TPA)
Hymans Robertson is one of the UK's leading independent pensions, investment and benefit consultancies; we employ over 750 staff in four UK offices (London, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Glasgow).
The firm operates as an independent partnership and prides itself on an innovative, client focused approach. Our clients include some of the UK's leading names and largest pension schemes, while our continued growth and success has been recognised by numerous industry awards, including Third Party Administrator of the Year at the 2016 UK Pensions Awards.
We are recruiting an experienced Senior Pensions Administrator to join the administration projects team in our smart, modern office in Glasgow's city centre. You'll work with the pensions administration teams to scope and deliver administration client projects within agreed timescales. This will be a great opportunity to build on your existing technical experience, develop project management skills and help evolve our processes and procedures.
Some of your main responsibilities will include:
Providing a seamless, professional and personal service to meet the needs of our clients scope
Delivering cyclical and ad hoc projects and taking ownership for these
Dealing with complex pensions related queries and requests which span the full pensions lifecycle
Carrying out data cleansing of pension scheme data, to identify and rectify historic errors
Coming up with ways to improve our client and member service and help to implement these
Interested in applying?
That's great. If you'd like to be considered then you'll have a good eye for detail and solid, proven experience of DB scheme administration and a strong working understanding of the different kinds of pensions arrangements. DC administration experience would be an advantage, but is not essential. You should have up to date knowledge of pensions legislation and regulations on pensions administration as well and be able to apply your knowledge to perform non- standard manual calculations. You should also have strong MS Office skills, especially in Excel.
This role will make good use of your organisation, time management, project management and communication skills as you'll be dealing with a range of people, including colleagues and clients.
You'll really enjoy working as part of a team but also take responsibility for planning and managing your own time in order to meet your project requirements and deadlines, so this is a good opportunity if you like to work fairly autonomously.
