Work for students falls into two basic categories... or does it?
Traditionally we think along the lines of work that will help students advance their future careers and look good on the CV, like placements and internships in their chosen fields. Then they have casual work which helps finance the studies for that future carer.
That stint you did stacking shelves, flipping burgers, doing the Christmas post, working as a hotel cleaner or kitchen porter is often highly valued by future employers because it shows something special about you.
You are not a quitter, or afraid of hard work and you have the ability to meet people from all walks of life, get along with them and work in a team.
Student jobs pay you in more than cash, so check the vacancies here at HIJOBS, and use our app; there is plenty of advice on our career pages on CVs, interviews and finding your dream job – for right now as a student and when you step out on your career path.
