To provide an employment administration service and the first level HR Advice line.  Also to provide clerical support for the teams in Human Resources Section.

The Individual

Experience of working in a busy office environment using relevant technology and equipment e.g. photocopier,
e-mail, intra/internet.

Clerical/administration/typing experience

Experience of utilising a range of computer packages including Microsoft Office

4 SQA standard grades or equivalent at level 3 or above, preferably including English

Flexible approach to work and an ability to work under pressure

Ability to record information accurately

Self motivated

Strong customer care skills and focus

Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

Confident, efficient and reliable

Understanding of key interpersonal skills

Willingness and ability to tackle issues sensitively, discretely and in confidence

Effective organisational skills/time management with the ability to respond to conflicting and competing priorities

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Ability to relate well with all levels of staff

Strong team working skills

Willingness to accept direction/ delegation

Appreciation, acceptance of and commitment to importance of confidentiality

Approachable, tactful and helpful manner

Flexible to meet the needs and demands of the service

Ability to work in a shared office

Ability to work in different offices subject to the needs of the service

 

Closing Date:  9th January 2026

Starting Salary:  £25,994.15 (pro rata)

Hours:  14.5 per week, 8.45am to 5pm on Thursday and Friday
